The fair runs from Thursday, September 7th to Sunday afternoon. Robertson Amusements will again be here with an even larger variety of rides for children and adults along with many excellent food vendors. We have Beer gardens set up at each end of the fairgrounds as well as Thursday night Bingo. As always the music entertainment will be held inside the Armouries and Heritage Radio will provide local entertainment & live radio broadcasts from the Valley stage. This year we are pleased to have the Truck and Tractor Pullers performing Thursday evening in front of the grandstand. The OPP Golden Helmet Motorcycle group will entertain Friday evening. Saturday will be the always popular Demolition Derby later in the day starting at 7pm with lots of cars and classes – come out and cheer them on!

Cattle shows are a main attraction hosting Hereford, Charolais, Simmental, Shorthorn, Maine Anjou, Angus and Limousin classes. 4-H shows will be held on Friday and Saturday. Our steer, lamb & hog sale will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.  Heavy horse and miniature shows will be held both Friday and Saturday with line classes and excellent hitch classes. The heavy horse and pony pull will start at 10 a.m. Sunday morning in the heavy horse ring. The light horse ring will be busy as well with a variety of classes on Sunday this year.

HOMECRAFT PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

On behalf of the Homecraft Division, I would like to welcome you to the 168th Renfrew Fair. It was great to experience a full fair again after the two years of interruptions due to the pandemic. A very special thank you to all our Directors and Volunteers for their many hours they give to the fair. Our Homecraft directors work hard throughout the year to review and update the various categories. They do this to widen your options when choosing what to exhibit. Please read carefully through this book and choose the items you would like to exhibit in any of the various categories. Encourage your friends and neighbours to exhibit!

Every year we are proud to display the many works of our talented exhibitors. We are pleased to display their work in quilting, floriculture, baking, hobbies, crafts, photography, woodworking, art, bottled goods, junior fair, 4-H, and look forward to new products each year.

Come out and enjoy the sounds, sights, food and fun at the greatest fair in the Valley!

Signe Kubiseski | Homecraft President
